Secret Suicide Support
October 25, 2008
Why is it that Suicide Support Groups are so hard to find? It took me two weeks Bereavement support groups are listed in the white and yellow pages but suicide specific groups are not.
Are we afraid to admit that we exist? Do we not want to tell the community that our relatives or friends actually took their own life?
Suicide grieving is act specific i.e. each case is different and although some grieving of death is common it has its own set of issues which can only be shared and understood by someone else who has gone through it.
